Writing.
The spiel.
As long as I have been conscious, I have been eavesdropping. Hovering at the corner of the adults table, listening, rapt to the way they talk about the world. Their sighs, their laughs, their frustrations and exclamations. Headphones on, music paused on the train, straining to capture glimmering little window into other people’s business.
As long as I have been eavesdropping, I have been psychoanalysing. Picking people apart with great egotistical confidence.
I am fascinated by people. Conversations, contraditctions. Fascinated with seeing what happens when characters have the breathing space to unfold themselves in front of you.
I love elevating grounded, relationship-driven stories with elements of strangeness. A touch of the surreal .
I have a portfolio of spec scripts teased below writen both for Film and TV - these can be read upon request.
I have had work published in ‘NEW: Emerging scholars in Australian Indigenous Studies Vol 5 No 1 (2019): NEW: Emerging scholars in Australian Indigenous Studies’ and ‘Vertigo’ Magazine, and an experimental script produced and screened in ‘Hibernation: Festival of the Lo-Fi’ where I played with a mesh of live-stream and pre-recorded storytelling.
